Assuming you already have the extension installed on your browser, enabling the extension on new websites is a breeze.

In most cases, you just need to visit the website and the TextCortex extension will be enabled by default.

However, there are a few exceptions where you may need to manually enable the extension.

This guide will show you how to enable a browser extension on any new websites of your choice, regardless of whether or not it's automatically enabled.

How to see if the extension is enabled?

There are a few signs you can see if the extension is working on the page you currently visiting.

1) You can see the Toolbar when highlighting Text.

2) You can see the TextCortex Bubble to open the sidebar on the bottom right.

3) A quick glimpse on the extension pin bar will also tell you the status. It will tell you in bright red that the extension is currently offline.

 

How to enable and disable different functions of the TextCortex extension?

To enable or disable the various features of the TextCortex extension, you can visit the "Extensions" tab your browser settings.

Click on the TextCortex button in the menu and click the respective toggle switch to either enable or disable a function.
