Hey, Baris here! Here's what shipped in October so far, plus a look at what's taking shape next.
Cortex Guard: Catch prompt injection before your AI reads it
A file or skill can carry hidden instructions meant for the AI, not the person reading it.
Cortex Guard scans uploaded files, skills and synced files for prompt injection before they're available for AI use. Anything suspicious stays quarantined until an admin releases it.
With browser protection on, it also checks what your team sends to ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini through the TextCortex extension for Chrome and Edge. That includes personal data, secrets like API keys, and confidential keywords your admin sets.
Enterprise add-on: Cortex Guard is priced separately and isn't part of the standard subscription. Contact your TextCortex account manager for details.

Excel add-in: Work with TextCortex inside your workbook
Copying numbers back and forth between a workbook and a chat window gets old fast. The TextCortex Excel add-in puts the agent in a panel right next to your sheets, and it's now available in the Microsoft Marketplace.
It knows every tab in the workbook without you picking one. It can write formulas across sheets, apply formatting and conditional formatting, duplicate worksheets and build PivotTables. Each change shows up on an approval card before it touches your workbook (unless you've turned on auto-approve).

Agent Version History: See what changed on an agent, then roll it back
An agent's instructions can change several times before anyone notices its answers have shifted. Agent version history lets you review saved configurations, see who changed them and when, and inspect highlighted text changes.
Preview an earlier version and restore it if you have edit access. Restoring creates a new current version, so the original history stays intact.
Projects: Keep an engagement in one shared workspace
An engagement's chats, files and agents shouldn't be scattered across separate places. Projects brings them together with knowledge bases, skills and automations.
Create a project, invite colleagues and add your sources. Open a teammate's shared conversation and continue in your own copy without changing theirs.
For enterprise admins: Enable Projects under Tenant settings → Feature Controls. It's already available on app.textcortex.com.
Audit Trail: Trace activity down to the resource
When something changes, you need to know who did what and where.
The Audit Trail's new Workspace activity view records activity on knowledge bases, agents, skills, projects, and automations, plus connections and integration syncs.
Search by resource or person, filter events, and open a resource's history.
Access on request: TextCortex needs to enable workspace activity logging for your tenant. Contact your account manager to request access.
Browse knowledge bases by folder
A flat file list makes familiar documents harder to find.
Folders are supported with synced knowledge bases from SharePoint, OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive, and Box. This view now lets you navigate through folders and subfolders. (More integration support is on the way.)
Open a folder, follow the breadcrumb back, and switch between list and grid views. You don't have to work through the entire knowledge base to reach the folder you need.
Find the replacement for your retiring model
Retiring models shouldn't leave you guessing what to choose next. Here's where to move:
- Opus 4.7 & 4.8 → Opus 5.
- Sol 5.6 → Sol 6.1.
- Sonnet 4.6 → Sonnet 5.5.
- Gemini 3.5 & 3.6 → Gemini 3.8 Flash.
- GLM 5.2 → GLM 5.3.
- Kimi K2.6 & K2.7 → Kimi K3 (Premium) or GPT-6 Luna
For enterprise admins: If the replacement model is already enabled, agents using the older model will upgrade automatically. Otherwise, the replacement stays disabled until an enterprise admin enables it, and the agent falls back to the tenant default model.
Gemini 3.8 Flash, Claude Haiku 5.5, and GPT-6.1 Terra join the catalog
Checking which models your team can use shouldn't take a release-note hunt. We've added Gemini 3.8 Flash and Claude Haiku 5.5 to the model catalog, so you can review them alongside your existing choices.
What we've been working on: a sneak peek
One more thing is close enough to launch that we want to show it early.
Mobile app: iOS first, Android later
Some questions come up when you're nowhere near your laptop. Our iOS app puts your chats and agents on your iPhone, and it's in the final stretch before release. Android comes after.
Not released yet: The iOS app is still in development, so details may change before launch.
