In the era of digital customer interaction, having an intelligent assistant to guide your visitors can be a game-changer.
The following guide is crafted to enable you to seamlessly integrate an AI into your platform—whether you're aiming to enhance user engagement or provide instant information access.
Important: Before we dive into the technical steps, please remember that ZenoEmbed is crafted to serve as a utility assistant for general information, not as helpdesk or customer support software. For example, it will not transfer users to live agents.
How to get started with ZenoEmbed?
1. First of all, you have to sign up to TextCortex.
2. Then navigate to the ZenoEmbed tab under More Apps and initiate the process.
Step 1: Persona
The very first step is setting up ZenoEmbed's personality. Choose a persona—they will become the face of your assistant!
Step 2: Knowledge
Time to decide the knowledge you want to infuse in your chatbot! This is where you can select your desired Knowledge Base.
This step is crucial for providing ZenoEmbed with the information needed to assist users accurately.

Step 3: Customization
Personalizing the look and feel of your chat interface is next. Adjust the aesthetic elements, like the color of messages or the chat interface itself, to align with your branding. This step also allows you to remove any default watermarks.
Step 4: Ice-breakers
Predefined messages, acting as conversation starters or quick replies to common queries, can be added here. This can significantly speed up the interaction process, making it user-friendly and efficient.
Step 5: Configuration
Selecting the right Large Language Model is critical: each model brings distinct capabilities and proficiencies to your assistant. In this section, you can choose your preferred AI model and whether you'd like the chatbot to showcase the documents/links it uses as its sources to provide information.
Step 6: Security
This is the step where you decide who gets to chat with ZenoEmbed. It can be open to all or restricted to specific members of your team or organization, ensuring privacy and control over the use of the assistant.
Step 7: Export
You're nearly there!
Deploy ZenoEmbed using one of the easy options:
1. Direct Link: Open a full-page chat screen for user conversations in a new tab.
2. Chat Bubble: Embed a clickable chat bubble onto your platform. The provided script should be inserted just before the </body> tag of your HTML.
3. Widget: Embed the chat widget on your website or internal tool.
4. iFrame.
How it looks on your platform
Once you have successfully integrated the chat bubble script, the bubble can be spotted
on the page's lower right edge as shown below:
Just always remember, ZenoEmbed is designed to provide general business information—it's your utility assistant, not a replacement for human customer support.
